Un été acidulé
To celebrate the arrival of summer sunshine, we have concocted a beauty selection for you based on tangy citrus fruits.
Fresh and slightly acid, they are the perfect contrast to the mugginess of summer with their fruity, invigorating fragrances.

Eau de pamplemousse rose, is my summer scent. Extremely crisp, it marries together the vivid fragrances of grapefruit and orange with that of rose, and a final touch of vetiver.
Contrary to several colognes, this one lingers on your skin for a relatively long time. Use with moderation.
We have also tested four products from the Australian brand Aesop which advocates citrus fruits among its key ingredients. I was already a fan the la lessive créée avec A.P.C, but I have been conquered by the cosmetics.
- · I use the Amazing face cleanser every morning and evening. It produces a slight foam and cleanses very effectively, leaving a gentle mandarin scent. I only regret the packaging, which would have been more practical with a pump.
- · Next comes the Bitter Orange Astringent Toner which balances the skin (and makes sure it isn’t greasy) by tightening your pores. It’s particularly enjoyable after shaving.
- · We finish with the Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream which is surprisingly light, created using a hazelnut base with is quickly absorbed while the mandarin scent stays on the skin. I can’t get enough of it!
- · The Rind Aromatique Body Balm is simply the icing on the cake! Kept in the fridge, put it on after your bath/shower/Jacuzzi (cross off useless options) and it will give you a feeling of freshness like nothing else on earth!
Since the Aesop products are aimed at both genders, you can obviously share (or not) with your other half.

Finally – as we already mentioned – another luxury I just cannot do without: the Jo Malone scented linen spray, to cover your sheets, clothes and shirts in a fresh lemon scent which fades over the course of the day
