Have you heard of Alex da Kid and Skylar Grey? If not, let us introduce you to these two rising talents that are not going to be forgotten in a hurry. And rightly so.
Alex da Kid is the young, English producer (27 years old) who is currently churning out hip-hop tracks for names such as Nicki Minaj, B.o.B, Eminem, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, T.I, Diddy and Dr DRE… The list could go on.
He famously scored massive hits with Airplanes by B.o.B, Lupe Fiasco’s Words I never said and the recent Coming Home by Dirty Money (P. Diddy). The latest success comes in the form of Dr Dre’s second single I Need a Doctor from the future album ‘Detox’, which was unveiled spectacularly at the Grammy awards.
Skylar Grey, formerly Holly Brook, is the voice behind several huge numbers of recent weeks. She last appeared with Eminem in Dr Dre’s I Need a Doctor, but she should also be given credit for the refrain in Love the Way You Lie (which was then given to Rihanna). As a protégée of Alex da Kid, this young American from Wisconsin is sure to dominate the charts with her distinctive, melodious voice.
