Fête foraine au Grand Palais

We have discovered a magical and depressingly short-lived place that is currently located beneath the nave of the Grand Palais.
A Ferris wheel, shuddering merry-go-rounds and churros – let yourself be swept along one evening by this world of bright colours and sweets, where you can rediscover your childhood.

Gipsy music filters through every part of this bizarre place, which has a party atmosphere that is missing from Paris as the city becomes deserted and trapped between the celebrations of Christmas and New Year.

And if that’s not enough for you, there are no queues and the fairground people are extremely friendly, to the point of offering us a couple of free rides on the famous ‘Chair-O-Planes.’
Smiles guaranteed until 1st January, open from 11am to midnight.

Entry is from 5€ for adults and 3€ for children.
She will appreciate this: Yes… I did spend a fortune on the claw crane games.
