Belvedere One X

Belvedere never ceases to amaze us! After incredibly successful partnerships with the likes of Terry Richardson, Jade Jagger, Young Jeezy and even Mark Ronson, the Vodka has now got into bed with the Parisian hipster, André.

He has renamed his famous graffiti alter ego (Mr. A) to Mr IX (pronounced One X) for the occasion, and this name is beautifully printed on the bottle.

The collaboration is not only cosmetic – Belvedere IX vodka has an entirely new flavour, comprised of 9 natural ingredients: guarana, ginseng, ginger, acai, sweet almond, eucalyptus, cinnamon leaf, black cherry and jasmine. The result is an incredible blend of sweet and powerful flavours.

We were lucky enough to be able to try it, during a very pleasant reception in a suite at the Hôtel Amour. The cocktails were deliciously subtle and lively – here are some of the recipes:

COTTON CANDY

Take a chilled glass of black martini. Add a ball of candyfloss. Finish with IX.

IX-MULE

50ml IX

6 fresh raspberries

15ml lemon juice

1 drop of simple syrup

Crush the strawberries into the simple syrup. In a shaker, add the rest of the ingredients and crushed ice. Shake and refill with crushed ice. Finish with a dash of ginger beer (not ginger ale). Decorate with a raspberry.

IX CRUSHED

6cl de IX

1/2 squeezed lemon

1 passion fruit

1 serving of white grapefruit juice

Mix the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Filter and pour over crushed ice. Decorate with a dash of peach liqueur and a passion fruit quarter.

The official launch will take place tomorrow at the Cannes film festival, and the vodka will soon be available in Colette.
