Apple Store Grand Central Terminal New York

The opening of a new Apple Store is always a momentous event for lovers of architecture and design.

So when the firm Cupertino announced its plans to open a new outlet within the Grand Central Terminal, the legendary metro station in New York, we could not help but be even more impatient than usual!

These rare images come from the Wall Street Journal, which tells us about the ongoing negotiations between Apple and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which should give its approval (or not) in the next few days.

Experts estimate that the location will cost around 760,000 Euros per year, with a first payment of 5 million (for lovers of large numbers), for a lease of eight years. Maintenance works could last 4 months.

We will obviously keep you updated with the project’s progress, and will publish new photos if it is given the go-ahead.
