Centre de design Renault – Partie 1
Renault has an exceptional design centre that only experts may enter! We were given permission to stop by and photograph this intriguing place.
Romain, Stéphane, Gonzague, Richard and I were welcomed by the Renault team into this 1200m² centre hidden in the heart of Paris.
After a cocktail and a presentation from our hosts, Fabio Filippini, the Renault Interior Design Director took on the task of giving us a tour of the building. This is a place of creation and research where you are taken on a cultural journey, not just an office where cars are drawn!
Designers from all over the world explained to us how they always start by sketching their ideas by hand, before continuing their work on Photoshop, where they can colour and modify the designs to obtain the perfect concept.
We continued our visit on the upper level where they transform the designs into 3D. So, in less than a fortnight, they move from a sketch to a 3D video. The car thus evolves in a realistic environment in which you are aware of the lines, reflections and dimensions of the car.

Je suis étudiant en filière design numérique à l’institut Supérieur de Design à Valenciennes. Mon travail est la réalisation de supports numériques. Un passage du dessin à la 3D, le tout, en collaboration avec le designer pour arriver au résultat souhaité.
Je sais que le centre design Renault reste très secret mais j’aimerai si c’est possible, avoir un contact qui pourrai me donner des informations sur ce centre et faire suivre mon portfolio.
En effet, je suis à la recherche d’un stage de 6 mois en entreprise et j’aimerai avoir la chance d’intégrer ce groupe de designers.
