Hôtel du Marc, Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot’s Hôtel du Marc, located in Reims, which we visited not so long ago, is now opening its doors once again after 4 years of renovation.
The grand 19th century building has been completely restored, apart from the visible scars from the first World War that remain on the outside of the mansion.
Although the exterior looks the same, the inside has undergone a complete transformation, thanks to the collaboration of a group of world-renowned artists and designers: Mathieu Lehanneur, Pablo Reinoso, Fredrikson Stallard and the Campana brothers.
The end result is a clever blend of historical features and modern elements. The Hôtel du Marc gives us so much to see, from the library to the elegant dining room.

Je l’ai visité à l’occasion des Journées Particulières LVMH et j’ai vraiment apprécié le travail de rénovation qui a été réalisé.
Une petite réserve quand à la salle à manger empire dont les murs noirs sont un peu trop … noir. Et puis la table avait été assez maladroitement dressée et ne correspondait pas au dressage attendu d’une table de ce “standing”.
Le fait que la maison Veuve Cliquot ait fait appel à des talents de l’avant-garde du design est très intéressant et j’ai particulièrement apprécié le salon et l’entrée avec le “miroir” et le lustre.
