The Treehouse Urban Installation

The Parisian photographer Robert Holden tries to answer a simple question – “what would our lives look like without any material possessions?”

Using 49 narrative pictures, the photographer depicts a serene, harmonious life, without hierarchical structure, set in the middle of an unknown wilderness where every basic need is within reach.

Few of us could truly switch back to this utopia, but everyone can relate to these every-day life ideals, even for a brief moment.

His work is being exhibited at DUMBO in Brooklyn.
