Audi R8 V10 : Tour sur circuit

Audi invited us to spend a very exciting day with them, during which we were finally allowed to test drive the AUDI R8 V10.

Mortefontaine Circuit

It was at the Mortefontaine circuit that we got behind the wheel of the R8, which has evolved from the V8 and Spyder models. Technically speaking, the car can reach 525 hp, which is a whole 105hp faster than its predecessor, the V10. As a result it can climb from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds.

Speed Circuit

This time, we handed the wheel over to the professionals to take the car to 317km/h on the speed circuit.

Compared to the other supercars that we’ve driven, the V10 is clearly a German car. Slick, flexible and powerful, the R8 boasts the perfect combination of weight, chassis and power thanks to its Quattro system. I’d almost go as far to say that the car is too perfect, too refined. As a result, in contrast to a Lamborghini or a Ferrari you don’t have to be an impeccable driver to get behind the wheel. All in all, the V10 is an exceptional car and an unbelievably exhilarating drive.
