Smart Forspeed
Daimler has just revealed its new zero-emission concept car, the Smart Forspeed.
Carrying on from the famous Smart Crossblade, but in a more radical fashion, the Forspeed still has no roof, but instead incorporates low windows on either side and wind deflectors at the front which cover the main air vents and the LED headlights to great effect.
Abandoning the thermal motor for an electric battery engine (30 kW), the car will be able to cover a distance of up to 135 km, and reach a top speed of 120 km/h. Photovoltaic cells have been included in the bottom of the windscreen as a green way of powering the electronics in the dashboard.
The interior is based on a distinctly futuristic theme, (in plastic, aluminium and green or brown leather), where the Smartphone seems to be the centre of attention.
