Woolrich John Rich & Bros 2011 (Automne-hiver)
To celebrate its 180th birthday, the American brand Woolrich unveiled at Bread & Butter in Berlin a series of photographs shot by Douglas Kirkland.
The Canadian photographer, who is also the father of Mark Kirkland, the director of The Simpsons, first made a name of himself shooting Marilyn Monroe. Since then, a whole range of actors, actresses, directors and other personalities have posed for him wearing the brand’s pieces.
This most recent series presents Elle Fanning, the star of Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, Brendan Fraser and the producer Lawrence Bender.
We also get a glimpse of Woolrich’s 2011 – 2012 collection composed of coats, quilted jackets and parka-coats that will shield you from even the most powerful storms!
So well executed is the collection in Woolrich’s trademark materials, that it’s no wonder the brand has enjoyed an impressive 180 years of success. The coats are even more elegant than those made by Canada Goose which have become increasingly ubiquitous of late.
